about

Raised by hillbilly mimes in Minneapolis, I spent the first chunk of my life entrenched in theater.

In 2006 I started performing improv at The Brave New Workshop, then studied with Second City founder Paul Sills, Upright Citizens Brigade and trained for the Henson Company’s touring improv show Puppet Up! with Patrick Bristow.

Transitioning primarily into stand up in 2007, I’ve produced notable shows in LA and New York, toured internationally and been featured in festivals such as Bridgetown, High Plains, 10k Laughs, the Jewish Humor Festival and Akumal Comedy Festival.

My film and television work includes A Serious Man,

the Adult Swim shows On Cinema and Decker, as well as MTV’s Greatest Party Stories Ever. I was also a plant on a Court TV show where I played an embittered waitress who was suing a customer for rescinding a large tip he gave me while drunk.

I’ve written on and produced shorts featured at the Cannes Film Festival and have done ad campaigns for Fox, JASH, TimeHop, and Oxiclean's Orange Glo International (for a cleaning product that was eventually found to be mildly toxic in aerosol form).

In 2015 I was accepted into the Jim Henson Company, training with Kevin Clash and Allan Troutman, and work professionally as a muppet-y style hand-and-rod puppeteer.

I've most recently published two books with Simon & Schuster and am currently based on the East Coast with my husband and

(arguably) too many dogs.
